Laurence Dahilig has been in Canada over two years. He came here to support his family back home in the Philippines. He resided in Spruce Grove, Alberta (the ninth largest city in Alberta) and worked as a Sanitation Worker. However, he soon found himself with an impending work permit expiration.

On December 10th 2015, Laurence went to Immigration Consultant Carl Benito for advice as his work permit has expired. Carl explained to him his available options and, out of these suggestions, Laurence picked which he thought would be the best decision. Later that month a Study Permit was sent to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) from Carl’s office on behalf of Laurence.

Come the end of March, Laurence received the good news that his study permit was approved. Laurence found Carl through Facebook and highly recommends Carl to anyone needing immigration advice. Laurence said that “it’s good, Kuya Carl is helping people. Thank you Kuya Carl for helping me to stay here in Canada.”

WHY CARL DOES IMMIGRATION CONSULTANCY
Carl considers his work in immigration consultancy as his own way of honoring God. His experience as member of the Alberta Legislature (2008-2012), his exposure to people of various origins as well as his devout faith in God have inspired Carl to dedicate himself to helping immigrants. As an immigrant himself, Carl fully understands that finding work, extending status and moving to Canada is an extremely challenging process. That is why he prayed hard that God may use him as instrument in helping immigrants find work, study, extend their permit and re-unite with their loved ones through various immigration processes, including permanent residency and citizenship in Canada. Carl is not only sincere, honest and hardworking, he is also trustworthy as his only desire is to honour God in everything that he does.
